cable, replace it with a new one. Use only genuine
replacement cable.

YOUR PRODUCT IS SUPPLIED WITH CABLE
WIRED DIRECTLY INTO THE PRODUCT.
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in ac-
cordance with the following code:
1. Flymo Mains Cables and Extension Cables are
available from your local Approved Service Centre.
2. Do not wire an extension cable directly to your
product yourself. Please contact your local Ap-
proved Service Centre for further information on
the connectors and kits available.

The wire which is coloured BLUE must be con-
nected to the Terminal which is marked with the
letter 'N' or coloured BLACK.
3. Only use extension cables specifically designed
for outdoor use.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be
connected to the Terminal which is marked with
the letter 'L' or coloured RED.

IMPORTANT
4. It is important that the outer sheath is clamped
correctly into the 3-pin plug.

Flymo connectors are suitable for use with 2 core
cable only. Under no circumstances should these
connectors be used for earthed products.
All Flymo connectors and cables are of splashproof
construction. They are not waterproof and must not
be left outside permanently nor should they be sub-
merged or immersed in water. Do not let cable lay or
trail through pools of water or splashed with water
from hose pipes.
5. If in doubt consult your local Service Repairer or
qualified electrician before the machine is used.
6. A 13 Amp fuse must be fitted to the Mains Plug.
7. The normal plug fuse and household fuse only
protect the electrical equipment and are not a
safeguard against electrocution.

If the mains cable is damaged, it must be re-
placed with the correct Flymo assembly from an
Flymo Approved Service Dealer (see leaflet en-
closed in product)
MAINS PLUG REPLACEMENT
IMPORTANT
If the plug supplied is cut off it should be de-
stroyed. There is an electric shock hazard if a

1. Attach the blow tube to the product as shown in Fig
1. Attach the Shoulder Harness to the product as illustrated in Fig B.
2. Adjust the Shoulder Harness as required to ensure it is in
the most comfortable position. (C).

1. Attach the two Suction Tube halves together as illus-
trated in Pic D. Ensure that the two halves click se-
curely into position.
IMPORTANT
When the Suction Tube halves are attached together,
this is a permanent fixture, they can not be disassem-
bled.
Converting from Blower to Suction

1. Turn the product over and press the release catch on
2. Slide the catch away from the product (E2) and re-
move the Blow Tube from the product (E3).

3. Press the release catch on the Impeller Guard (F1).
4. Release the wire hook (F2).
5. Turn the Impeller Guard anti-clockwise until it can be
removed (F3).

6. Attach the assembled Suction Tube to the product
aligning the arrows as indicated (G1).
7. Turn the Suction Tube until it clicks into position (G2).
8. Secure the wire hook into postion and close the catch
(G3).

9. Place the loop on the Debris Bag over the end of
the Suction Tube (H1)
10.Attach the Debris Bag inlet to the product as
shown in Pic H2, ensuring that it clicks securely
into position. (H3)
